PAMPA FOLK DESIGN was born from the somewhat obsessive love I have for hats and the desire to collaborate with my husband's family business.

I started feeling it was time to wear hats for any occasion; not only to go to the beach, or for an outing in the countryside and obviously to paint the town.

Why not incorporate a hat in your daily outfit, it covers you from the sun and provides and extra touch to your unique identity?

When we started this business together, we first chose from whatever hats were in stock and took them with us on a road trip to take pictures. We not only worked but knew it was the start of something we both love and shared moments that we both enjoyed very much.

At first I was focused on selling “women's hats”, selling fashionable hats or hats that I liked, but then we got inquiries for “men's hats” I started to promote all the hats I love and this is a very important, in Pampa Folk Design: OUR HATS ARE UNISEX! 

We work with earth colors, classic colors and fashionable colors. The designs are classic, fedora, tear drops and even boleros/cordobeses, with wide or short brims; flat or floppy brims; and more that we're sure you will love!

Where are Pampa Hats made? 

Our hats are 100% handmade in Ecuador.

The factory we work with knows that it is the number one producer of wool felt in the region, thus ensuring that our products are top quality, employees are treated fairly and the processes and environmental friendly policies something to be proud of.
We can say the same for our artisans who weave toquilla straw hats, in the city of Cuenca or in Montecristi.

Pampa Folk Design is born from beautiful  coincidences where hat lovers and hat makers meet and desire to share our love for hats and artisan crafts with you.
