HOW TO MEASURE HAT SIZE:

Part of getting the right hat is finding the right size and getting the right fit. Discover four important things to ensure you get the right fit on your Pampa Hat.

1. HOW ARE A PAMPA HAT SIZES MEASURED?
Hats are measured by the inside circumference at the bottom of the hat's crown (the sweatband) + most often measured in centimeters.
This is the case for all Pampa styles + materials (Wool Felt / Toquilla Straw).
While hats may be sized according to their measurement, it is fairly common for women to choose hat sizes based on the average women's head size (57 cm) + then adjusting down to fit if necessary.
For men, Large (is the average hat size but size M is also common.

2. WHAT IS THE AVERAGE PAMPA HAT SIZE?
Hat sizes for women + men are pretty intuitive.

W: The average women's head size measures around 57cm. If you are unsure of your hat size, the OSFM Cordobes hat would be the best starting point. The OSFM hat size (Small/Medium) is made to fit 57cm + can be adjusted up to 55cm. If you know you have a slightly larger head, go with the 59 cm size. The largest size Pampa offers is a 61cm, labeled as an XL. For women who feel they have a slightly smaller head than normal we recommend an S which is at 55cm.
Any Pampa hat will suit you!

M: The average men's head size measures around 59cm, an L. If you know you have a slightly larger head go with the 61cm size. For men who feel they have a slightly smaller head than normal we recommend an M (57cm) or S (55cm). It depends at what you are comfortable with.

L(59cm)
XL (61cm)

3. WHAT IS THE AVERAGE HAT SIZE?
In order to know your hat size, it is necessary to determine the circumference of your head + this is very simple as detailed below: take a measuring tape and firmly but not very tight, surround your head with the tape. Start from your forehead at about ¾” over your eyebrows + go around about 1/8”above your ears + the furthest part of your head, then check your size match in the size chart.

TIP: If you don't have a textile measuring tape, use a string or piece of yarn to measure the distance around your head. After you have marked the yarn around your head, lay it out flat on the ground or table + measure the straightened out piece of yarn with a measuring stick or regular measuring tape.
